“ It is impossible to overstate how great the tacos at Sister are. I travel for a living, and these are hands down the best tacos Ive ever consumed in all my travels. The carne asada and pork belly are tied neck and neck for the top spot with the carnitas not far behind with all the taco options being gluten free. Literally after one bite of the carne asada I knew I had come across something that is in a league of its own. If you enjoy tacos and you find yourself in Albuquerque, you MUST go to Sister and experience the best. I will forever compare every taco I eat in the future to the ones I just had the pleasure of experiencing at this establishment. Oh yeah, theres also pinball machines and a boatload of beer on tap if thats your thing too. ”
“ We decided to stop by for a late lunch on a Sunday and possibly play some pinball machines since we had our 11 year old with us. There was a cheeseburger meal that came with fries and a Miller lite for 10. Thats a steal! The burger was amazing!!! I didnt like that we had to go to the bar to order, it wasnt bad service. We got our food in a decent amount of time, I just didnt like having to go to the bar. ”
“ Full disclosure, we didnt eat, we did however have drinks and explore the property... if you enjoy eclectic locations you will LOVE, Sister! With 10 pinball machines, an old photo booth and various other old timey vending machines this place has a shot back in time feel. While at the same time its cozy and relaxing, smooth jazz plays over the sound system too. The bartender really knows his stuff, a lil snarky but in a fun way. All in all if you are looking for a truly unique place to grab a drink, learn some history and kick back Sister bar is the place for you. Oh and they have live music in the back in the evenings!! ”
“ Sister Bar My GoTo Spot in Albuquerque Sister Bar has been my spot for years, and it never lets me down. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of laidback and livelygood music, a cool crowd, and just enough energy to keep things interesting without feeling overwhelming. Whether Im catching a live show or just hanging out with friends, its always a solid time. The best part? Rita, hands down. Shes one of those bartenders who just gets itquick with a drink, always friendly, and keeps the place running smooth even on a busy night. If youre looking for a place with great music, strong drinks, and good people, this is it. No gimmicks, no attitudejust a damn good bar. ”
“ Great vibe. I went to see a friend DJ. Beautiful art installations and good beats. What more could you want? ”
“ The tacos were well prepared. We had carnitas tacos and pork belly tacos. I didnt appreciate having to go to the bar to order food. Prices were okay. I loved playing pinball after dinner. Great place to grab a bite before going to an event at the Kimo theater. ”
“ One of my favorite places in Albuquerque. Its loud, its uncomfortable and sometimes the staff wishes you were somewhere else. But the food is great, the beer selection is enormous, and pinball! The ideal place to gather a few friends and do some day drinking. ”
“ Definite locals bar with a locals feel. But we felt welcomed. Cool vibe. Great beer list. The mole chicken quesadilla was really good. My friend had the cheeseburger she called, solid. Then we played pinball in one of the 20 pinball machines. Will ho back next time Im in Albuquerque. ”
